David Chirot, AsemicFront and I

I have been missing David lately - his wild emails always detailing so intricately a life far away from my own. This is the last email I received from his personally:

         YOUR NEW WORK I SEE ON VISPRO AND ESLEWHERES IS   FABULOUS--YOUR USE OF COLOR ALWS BLOWS MY MIND--     IT IS SO GORGEOUS!--I LOVE ALSO THE DUALITY YOU PRESENT OF THE WORKS HAVING, AT ONCE,         SIMULTANEOUSLY--THE SENSE OF THEIR BEING BOTH       OPAQUE AND OF INFINITE--DEEP--DEPTHS . . .

     

HERE SPONTANEOULY A POEM GREETS THE MORNING AS THE SKY SLOWLY LIGHTENS--THE GREY TINTS AND DIMNESS AMONG THE BRILLIANTLY GREEN TREES . . . . LOOKING OUYSIDE WINDOW OF THIS ROOM IN MY MAGIC APT.--

           WITH AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

            FACING THE DAY

             --THE STATUES METLING IN THE DEWWS OF DAWN--

            THEIR FACES BLURRING

               THEIR TEARDROPS' FLOW

                IRRIGATES A GARDEN

                 as it grows--

                         in a desert where

                              your stares

                                     climb upwo/ards

                                           sending out the message                  monuments to amusements

                                                 where the cool breezes go--

 

              Secrets of a sunken garden

                     a Poe atmosphere--

                 haunts memories

                     careening through my mind

                         like a carousel run amok

                           crashin’ and colliding

                               with monuments to amusements

                                      scattered, shattered

                                           like mirrors brightly flung

                                                  their gaudiness an open hand

                                                    catchin falling tight rope walkers--

                                                          in an empty drum

Link to the article on academia: https://www.academia.edu/65621894/VISPRO_A_New_Way_Forward Abstract:     All borders are open, the textual shadowlands are inhabited by any and every word and image.  There are no structures, no rules, no places to gain a firm foothold.  The author is inconsequential, artwork/writing is open to any and every interpretation, after all –                   it  appears  only ‘The Great I’ matters.  And it’s got boring.  Few will stand  by  what they stand  for  alongside any sort of definition. Sadly, even the word ‘definition’ has become outmoded, outdated and apparently ‘limiting’. To produce and produce in any and every situation with any and every means possible, without any foundation and very little purpose – except to produce – well, that’s just the way it goes – it seems.    Not  to say the word-images one views are not immediately appealing, but in the long term, where is  the  ‘Mona Lisa’ or ‘The Great Wave’ or ‘Earthrise’ in the visual-word world
